How to care
for your Knitwear?
(2 Minute Read)
We chose to create our entire AW21 collection from knitwear for its comfortability, its timelessness and of course premium quality - all essentials for stylish mums and mums-to-be. However, we know caring for knitwear isn’t always easy (especially for a tired, pregnant mum with 2 children under the age of 5 to look after). So here is our fail safe guide on how to care for your knitwear to ensure it lasts a lifetime.
We worked tirelessly to find a yarn that is not only of the highest quality but also machine washable to give you mums an easier life (who has time to hand wash?!) All of our pieces can be washed in the washing machine on a 30 degree cycle.
Guess what Mums...YOU DO NOT NEED TO WASH YOUR CLOTHES EVERY TIME YOU WEAR THEM - yes you heard us right! So if you have a bit of spit up or some sweet potato puree land on your Nine the Label garments (inevitable), then we recommend spot washing with the following products to help remove the stains rather than putting them straight in the wash:
The Laundress Stain Solution: This miracle worker will get rid of the most stubborn stains.
Attirecare Red Wine Stain Remover: Anyone else feel like this was made specifically for them?
The Day2 Wash Spray: We are obsessed with this super affordable spray that removes odours and creases.
Do not tumble dry and dry your pieces on a flat surface to avoid stretch and misshaping. This mesh drying rack is our go-to for drying our AW21 collection.
Knitwear should never be hung up in your wardrobe. Fold your pieces up and put them in a drawer or shelf. Marie Kondo your wardrobe with these organisers.
If you follow all of the above instructions then your knitwear shouldn’t bobble, however in the rare case that it does the Steamery Pilo Fabric Shaver is an absolute dream and also super satisfying to use so it doesn’t even feel like a chore!
We like to think of these pieces as seasonless and can definitely be worn well into Sprin, however if you want to make some space for our SS22 collection then we recommend storing your knitwear in the following ways:
Or if you don't have the space then folding them in an airtight container is the best next option.
